1.1.1 Requirements

Acucorp software has the following requirements:

For Windows:

• The amount of disk space needed to install ACUCOBOL-GT is typically less than 25 MB.
• AcuBench^TM requires at least 20 MB for installation.
• You need an additional 40 MB to install all the other Acucorp products.

Unless otherwise indicated, the references to "Windows" and "Windows NT" in this manual denote all 32-bit versions of the Windows and Windows NT operating systems. Those versions are: Windows 95, 98 and ME, Windows NT 4.0 and above, and Windows 2000. In those instances where it is necessary to make a distinction among the individual versions of those operating systems, we refer to them by their specific version numbers ("Windows 2000", "Windows NT 4.0", etc.). Please check your hardware to ensure that it meets the minimum requirements of the version of Windows that you are using.

If you plan to call C routines from COBOL you will also need Microsoft® Visual C++^TM Version 6.0. Note that the Microsoft Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) is bundled with Visual C++.

For all other platforms:

• The amount of disk space needed to install all Acucorp products is typically less than 25 MB.
• The HTML files for the user documentation typically require 14 MB.
