Starting AcuODBC Server as a Service or Daemon

To start AcuODBC server as a Windows service or a UNIX daemon, perform one of the following steps as appropriate for your environment:

Windows only:
- From the Start/Programs/Acucorp 5.2.0/AcuODBC/AcuODBC Server menu, select Start Service. Click Yes to close the message box telling you that the service has started, or
- On the Services Control Panel, select AcuODBC 5.2.
UNIX and Windows:
- If you are working from the command line, enter the following command:
```
     acuodbcs -start [-c config]
```

Note: If you want to start AcuODBC Server in the foreground rather than as a service, enter this command:

     acuodbcs -start -f [-c config]
