9.6 COLOR-MODEL Settings 7 and 8

COLOR-MODEL settings "7" and "8" eliminate intensity altogether. The default colors are shown as black-on-white.

These are the settings that most closely match typical Windows programs. If you combine COLOR-MODEL 7 with the MONOCHROME configuration variable (which causes colors to be ignored), then you will have an entirely black-on-white application (except for reverse which appears as white-on-gray).

Equivalent settings

COLOR-MODEL "7" is equivalent to Color-Trans "3", Intensity-Flags "161".

COLOR-MODEL "8" is equivalent to Color-Trans "1", Intensity-Flags "161".
