AcuODBC can also access files that reside on a different computer from the front-end application. For example, it can access remote files on a UNIX or Windows NT server. In this case, you may choose to take advantage of AcuServer for remote file access services.
AcuServer is available for most UNIX and Windows NT (Intel) machines. It can serve COBOL applications running on UNIX, DOS, and Windows TCP/IP based networks. For more information about AcuServer, see the AcuServer documentation.
