ACUCOBOL-GT programs must be run from the NeXT's terminal emulator (Terminal). You need to upgrade to Release 2.0 of Terminal (or later), to avoid the screen problems that existed in Release 1.0.
To select the terminal emulator, log in and then double-click the Terminal icon in the application dock (the column of icons along the right edge of the workspace).
Note: If the Terminal icon does not appear in the dock, or if you're not certain which icon represents Terminal, double-click the NeXT icon to bring up the File Viewer window. Then select the NextApps directory and double-click the word "Terminal".
