Your files may be delivered either on a CD-ROM or on tape. For CD-ROM installation, mount the installation CD -ROM in the CD-ROM drive. Change to the mount directory and type:
./install
Then follow the directions on the "Getting Started" card included with your software to load the products in the appropriate directories.
If you have received a tape, ACUCOBOL-GT is shipped using either TAR or CPIO format, depending on the target machine. The media label shows which format is used, along with any other pertinent information. You should move to a directory on your machine created to hold ACUCOBOL-GT and then type one of the following commands depending on the archive type:
tar xfv device
or
cpio -icvBd < device
In either case, device is the appropriate hardware device name (for example, "/dev/rfd0" or "/dev/rmt0").
