


To use AcuServer:
Each server machine must be networked to UNIX, Windows NT (Intel), Windows 95,
Windows, and DOS clients with TCP/IP. (TCP/IP is not sold or supplied by
Acucorp.)
All servers must run the portmap daemon.
All servers must have a copy of the AcuServer license management file.
All DOS clients must run PC/TCP Kernel Software, Version 2.3 or later.
Windows clients can run any TCP/IP software that uses a WINSOCK compliant
WINSOCK.DLL.
Windows NT (Intel) and Windows 95 clients can run any TCP/IP software that
uses a WINSOCK compliant WSOCK32.DLL .
Client machines must have an ACUCOBOL-GT client-enabled runtime. To verify
that your runtime is client-enabled, type "runcbl -v" and look for the line:
AcuServer client
On SCO UNIX and NCR Tower systems, you will also need their optional NFS software package. This package includes the required portmap daemon executable for the server.
