There are seven configuration file variables used to configure the logging system:
filename-LOG - specify the name of a log file
LOGGING - enable or disable logging
LOG-FILE - specify the name of the default log file
LOG-BUFFER-SIZE - set the log file buffer size
LOG-DIR - specify an alternate directory for temporary files
LOG-DEVICE - enable or disable special device handling for the log file
LOG-ENCRYPTION - enable or disable log encryption
