Acucorp products are shipped for VMS on VAX machines in BACKUP format. Select a directory where you want them to reside. In these instructions, this is referred to as directory. To read the tape, type the following commands:
ALLOCATE device MOUNT/FOREIGN device BACKUP device [...]
where device is the name of your tape device.
After extracting the release files from the tape, read the "READ_ME" and "RELEASE" file (if present). The "READ_ME" file describes the files included with the product. The "RELEASE" file contains changes to the compiler not covered in the documentation.
