The DSN_DIRECTORY variable specifies the default location for the ".dsn" files that define a data source on the server. You are prompted for the location of this directory when you start the srvconfig.sh utility, which enables you to configure DSNs in a UNIX command-line environment. When you create new DSNs using srvconfig.sh, the resulting ".dsn" file is placed in this directory.
