A_DBM_PASSWD

The variable A_DBM_PASSWD should be set to the password assigned to the database account associated with the user name specified by A_DBM_LOGIN.

Examples

If the account with the user name in A_DBM_LOGIN has the associated password CW021535, you would specify:

     A_DBM_PASSWD CW021535

in the runtime configuration file.

For better security, you can accept a password from the user during program execution; set the A_DBM_PASSWD variable based on the response:

     ACCEPT RESPONSE NO-ECHO.
     SET ENVIRONMENT "A_DBM_PASSWD" TO RESPONSE.

Note: If the user has been set up without a password, this variable need not be set. There is no default value for this variable. If no password is specified, none is used.
