To define the runtime as a helper application in Netscape Communicator 4.5

The following procedure was written for Version 4.5 of Netscape Communicator. Other versions of Netscape will operate differently. (Refer to the documentation that comes with the product for instructions on configuring MIME types.) To configure Netscape Communicator Version 4.5 to use ACUCOBOL-GT as a helper application, users should:

1. Start Netscape Communicator.

2. From the Edit menu, select "Preferences."

3. Click the Navigator category, then click "Applications."

4. To add a helper application to the list, click "New Type. . ." (or "New" on UNIX).

5. Click inside each field in the box and do the following:

Field
Action
Description of Type
Type "ACUCOBOL-GT object file"
File Extension
Type "acu"
MIME Type
Type "application/vnd.acucobol"
Application to use
Type "wrun32.exe" or browse to and select the ACUCOBOL-GT runtime file "wrun32.exe".
This is the command line used to launch the application. If you want to specify command line options, you may do so by typing the option after the executable name.

6. Click "Ok" to return to the "New Type" box, then click "Ok" again.
