5.1.7 Configuration Variables

There are seven configuration file variables used to configure the logging system:

• filename-LOG - specify the name of a log file
• LOGGING - enable or disable logging
• LOG-FILE - specify the name of the default log file
• LOG-BUFFER-SIZE - set the log file buffer size
• LOG-DIR - specify an alternate directory for temporary files
• LOG-DEVICE - enable or disable special device handling for the log file
• LOG-ENCRYPTION - enable or disable log encryption
