To initiate the Microsoft ODBC trace function

1. From the Windows control panel, click the ODBC Data Sources icon. The ODBC Data Source Administrator displays.

2. Select the "Tracing" tab from the top of the box.

3. Verify the log file path and trace DLL to be used for this trace. By default, the trace file is placed in the root directory, under the name "sql.log", and the trace DLL "odbctrac.dll" is used for the trace. If desired, you can change either of these settings by browsing and selecting a new path or custom DLL.

4. When you approve of the log file path and trace DLL, click the button labeled, "Start Tracing Now."

The next time AcuODBC executes, it will create a trace file and place it in the location specified.
