To create the sample DSN

1. Open the Windows control panel and click the ODBC Data Sources icon. The ODBC Data Source Administrator displays.

2. With the "User DSN" tab active, click the "Add. . ." button. The "Create New Data Source" dialog box displays.

3. From the "Create New Data Source" box, select "AcuODBC," then click the "Finish" button.

The "AcuODBC Setup" box displays. This box allows you to enter all the specifications necessary to "view" the Vision files from a Windows application via ODBC.

4. Fill out this box as follows:

• For Data Source Name, enter "Customer".
• For Data Dictionary Directory, enter "c:\acucorp\acucbl50\AcuODBC\data".

5. Files used in this sample program don't require the specification of "Advanced" or "Multi Companies" options. So, after you complete the information in this window, click "OK." Close the box and exit the control panel to to proceed with the test.
