There is nothing on the AcuConnect distribution media to install on the client machine. All ACUCOBOL-GT runtimes are AcuConnect-enabled. However, you should ensure that every client system that will use AcuConnect has a licensed copy of the ACUCOBOL-GT runtime Version 5.0 or later. These versions have been AcuConnect-enabled and support all the features and functions of AcuConnect Version 5.0.
To confirm that the client runtime is Version 5.0 or later, on the client machine use the "-v" option on the runtime command line. The runtime will display information similar to the following:
ACUCOBOL-GT runtime version 5.0 Serial number 1234 Licensed for 2 user(s), 2 processes per user Vision version 4 file system (interface v5.0) Copyright (c) 2000, Acucorp, Inc.
