There are several steps that must be performed before you begin using Acu4GL for Oracle on a new system. These are:
Install Oracle.
Install Oracle client software if using Oracle 32-bit on Windows.
Install Acu4GL for Oracle 32-bit,
Install Acu4GL for Oracle 64-bit,
or
Install Acu4GL for Oracle UNIX.
Check Oracle system parameters.
Set up a user account in the database.
Set up the user's environment.
Designate the host file system.
Set up the search path for tables.
Determine how transactions will be handled.
