How to Use the Plug-in

To deploy your application on the Web using the Web Plug-in method, you (the developer) have four tasks:

1. Set up a Web site

2. Prepare your ACUCOBOL-GT application

3. Include your COBOL application within the Web site

4. Configure the Web server software to generate appropriate response headers

Once your work is done, users have two tasks:

1. Install the ACUCOBOL-GT Web-Plug-in on their machine

2. Visit the Web site and launch the application

Note: If your application requires access to local resources or local network resources, then the user has one additional task: edit the plug-in authorization file. If you write your application in such a way that the resources are accessed remotely (using AcuConnect and AcuServer), this step is not required of the user.
