The Windows release of AcuSQL is included on the ACUCOBOL-GT Development Suite CD-ROM that is shipped with your AcuSQL product materials. On UNIX systems, AcuSQL software comes on the type of distribution media that you ordered.
Before installing AcuSQL you should install, configure, and test your application-host to data-host connection software. For accessing DB2 databases, AcuSQL is tested with IBM's "DB2 Connect" software and we recommend its use. However, any vendor's properly installed and configured ODBC Level 2 API connection is acceptable. This middleware connection software is essential to AcuSQL's successful use. You must ensure that your connection middleware is functioning properly before attempting to run an AcuSQL-supported application.
