4.1 Installing the Sample Program
If you choose to install the sample program during AcuODBC installation, a new folder, labeled "AcuODBC Sample Programs," automatically displays on screen.
This folder contains the following icons:
"Acucorp Orders Program" executes an ACUCOBOL-GT program
designed to manage
orders. This program was used to create the sample Vision files
included with
AcuODBC.
"Debug Acucorp Orders Program" allows you to run the Orders
Program in debug
mode.
"Query Sample Program" executes a program that allows you to
access Vision
files used with the Orders Program.
"ReadMe" allows you to examine a list of files distributed
with AcuODBC.
"Release notes" allows you to examine the latest release
information, not
included in this documentation.
"unInstallSHIELD" allows you to de-install the Orders Program
to free up disk
space.
Unless you specified an alternate directory during installation, the sample files are stored in the "\acuodbc32" directory on your hard drive.
The purpose of the AcuODBC sample program is to verify that the AcuODBC installation was successful. The sample program also gives you practice working with AcuODBC.
