The Acu4GL interface for DBMaker is an add-on module that is linked with the ACUCOBOL-GT runtime system. Your media from Acucorp contains the .DLL files necessary for the runtime to be enabled to access DBMaker (Windows 95/NT only) and an object module to link into the runtime for UNIX. This object module is necessary under UNIX.
Since the Acu4GL interface for DBMaker can be executed only on a machine that is running Windows 95/NT or later, and UNIX, installation instructions for the Acu4GL DBMaker interface are displayed separately for both Windows 95/NT and UNIX .
Install DBMaker
If DBMaker is not already on your system, install and configure DBMaker 3.0 or later before you install Acu4GL for DBMaker. Please consult your DBMaker documentation for instructions on installing this RDMS. If UNIX users plan to relink, they'll need DBMaker version 3.0 or later. The files UNIX users need to link are included with DBMaker.
